Cabbage - Red Express

Red Express is an early-maturing, compact cabbage, known for its dense, deep red-purple heads and mild, sweet flavor. It's a good choice for both fresh and cooked dishes, including salads, slaws, and sauerkraut. This variety grows quickly, with a harvest time of around 60-70 days, and its compact size makes it well-suited for container gardening. 

Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost or sow them directly outdoors in spring when the soil is workable. Plant seeds about 1/4-1/2 inch deep. Be sure the plants get full sun and are in well-drained, fertile soil. Space transplants about 12-18 inches apart.
